What is the Atlanta Adventure Boot Camp for Women?
A four-week outdoor program of fitness instruction, nutritional counseling and motivational training. You will be inspired and have fun while participating in a fantastic workout led by your Certified Adventure Fitness Trainers, Each day, camp will be one hour in length starting at 5:00 am, 6:30am, 9:00 or 6:15 pm. 

Are there advantages to exercising outside?
Definitely. Being outdoors, especially, if you have a hectic lifestyle and/or spend most of your day enclosed in an office or car, offers a natural source of rejuvenation. Exercising in the open air invigorates your body and calms your mind. You will find it to be a refreshing alternative to the sweaty crowds and high noise levels commonly found at health clubs and community gyms.

Is boot camp for me?
Do you need to be held accountable?
Do you need to lose weight and body fat?
Flatten abs?
Do you need motivation?
Do you need to shake up or jump start your fitness program?
If you answered "YES" to any of these questions, then boot camp is for you!

What if I'm not very physically fit?                                                                                 
NOBODY will be left behind or asked to complete more than they are capable of doing safely. Nor will anybody go home unchallenged! Women of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate. Each day will slightly increase in intensity. You will inspire and be inspired by others.

What types of exercises are included in the program?
Core conditioning, functional training, cardio training (including short distance running, jumping rope, etc), calisthenics, circuit training, pilates, sport yoga, resistance training, obstacle courses, sports drills, games, and more...all designed to help you reach your health and fitness goals!

How often will we meet?
You and your fellow campers will meet every Monday through Friday for one (1) hour. All participants will be expected to arrive on time about 5-7 minutes earlier. Camp starts promptly at your chosen schedule.

 Please bring a sense of Adventure >>>>> Campers should expect to travel one to three (1-3) miles radius from the base location for a load of fun surprises, challenging activities designed for a total body pump and transformation that you will enjoy every minute.

  • Evaluation/assessments, Saturday prior to week 1.
  • Monday to Friday (including holidays).
  • Your choice of 3, 4 or 5 days per week.
  • Expect to attend a variety of Camp locations
  • 5:00am, 6:30am, 9:00 or 6:15pm
  • Sports Nutrition Seminar, 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday of week 1.
  • 4 week boot camp program.

How do I sign up now?
Go to the Registration Page and fill out the form. After filling out the registration form, please follow the payment instructions, we accept cash, check or you can also pay secure online paypal via credit card. Once we've received your registration information, we'll contact you to schedule your pre-camp evaluation.

The Pre-Camp Evaluation includes the following:
1. We will give you an introduction to Boot Camp and answer any questions you may have. We will also review your medical history.
2. We will take a few simple measurements to see where you are prior to beginning camp. We don't care what the measurements show. It's strictly for a post-camp comparison. These numbers and all other information will be held in the strictest confidence.
3. We will record your weight and measure your body fat percentage. Again, the numbers don't matter. We just want to be able to measure your improvement. Don't be surprised if you see a 3-8% reduction in your body fat, a 5-12 lbs weight loss over the four weeks!

T-shirt! (will be given the last day/Friday of camp with a full attendance! No missed sesson).

What do I need to bring?
You are required to bring an exercise mat, a water bottle (to keep you hydrated), hand weights (5-8 lbs.), a towel and a sense of adventure.. Optional items in the winter: gloves and a hat. All items can be purchased at Target, Wal-Mart, Sport Authority or any sporting goods store.
Note: On chilly mornings, you will want to dress in layers, as you will get warm very fast!

It is also essential that you have a good pair of, properly fitted, running shoes. (Cross-trainers will not provide you with sufficient support.) 
 
What will I get out of participating?
A LOT! You will notice a dramatic improvement in your physical well-being and self-confidence. Camp programs include exercises designed to:

  • Tone/firm your butt, hips, thighs, and arms, strength and stamina,
  • Reduce blood pressure
  • Improve cardiovascular
  • Reduce blood sugar
  • Flatten stomach
  • Increase endurance
  • Reduce bad cholesterol 
  • Reduce body fat and build new friendship 

    You will look and feel better. You'll push your intensity levels, and you will reach a higher level of fitness than you, most likely, would not achieve on your own. What is the cost or the investment in myself?
Each four-week boot camp has a registration fee of $299. That's twenty hours of instruction! It averages out to just $14.95 per hour. Where else can you get premiere or cutting edge fitness instruction for that incredible price? Personal trainers can typically charge $60 to $150 per hour for their services - this is a great opportunity to receive motivating fitness instruction by a certified personal trainer for just a fraction of the cost.

Do I have to go five days a week?
Although, the 5-days/week program will give you the best results, you may also choose a 3-days/week option at a cost of only $199. Generally, attendance in the Monday, Wednesday and Friday sessions works best for the 3-days/week option.

What if I can't make it to the 5:00 a.m. camp, will there be other camp times? 
Due to a popular demand we have now three (3 classes daily). Please check our calendar for more details.

When is the nutrition seminar?
The nutrition seminar is held the first Tuesday of every camp at 7:00 PM. Location details are provided in your evaluation/welcome packet.

Will I be sore sometimes?
Many boot campers feel some soreness for the first 2-3 days. After that, it is slight to moderate. It's all part of the process of improving your physical condition!

What kind of people go to camp?
You'll be inspired, encouraged, and motivated by other women, just like you, who are seriously committed to improving their health and fitness levels! Some of our campers are beginners wanting to jump-start their program, and some are veteran exercisers ready for a new challenge. Most of our campers have some history of exercise, but it's not required. Others are simply, just tired of the same old boring routines at noisy and crowded gyms wanting something new & different. Don't worry! We'll adjust your workout, so it's just right for you!
Remember, ALL FITNESS LEVELS ARE ACCEPTED and ENCOURAGED!

How many people are in each camp?
This number usually varies depending on the season, time of year. There is no set number. It may be anywhere from 7-35.

What is a typical day like at boot camp?
We don't have typical days -- if you want the same routine day after day, then you would probably want to join a fitness center. You can expect a mixture of cardio exercises, some running (less than a mile), light weight-training, mat work, jumping rope, and sports-related games. Each day is designed to be fun, challenging and different, but never boring!

How soon will I see results?
Performance improvement can take place in as little as 3 days. Visual improvement can take from 2 to 4 weeks depending on your effort level. It's not uncommon to see as much as 3-8 pounds of weight loss after the first week. Remember, everyone is different! Check out our Testimonials page!

    Note: Every individual is different and will experience different results when participating in Atlanta Adventure Boot Camp. If you want to lose weight and are under 18, pregnant, nursing, following a diet recommended by a doctor, have health problems or want to lose more than 30 pounds, see a doctor before starting Atlanta Adventure Boot Camp.

What will I do after boot camp is over?
You will schedule your post-evaluation. You will be re-measured and re-tested. (Post-evaluations take about 30 minutes to complete.) Excited about your progress and success, you will probably choose to do what many (up to 80%) of our campers do-sign up for another boot camp! Consider making it a permanent and regular part of your workout regimen. It may be just what you need to keep you motivated and your exercise routine challenging.
Post-evaluations take less than 15 minutes to complete.

What if I sign up for the 3-day plan and then want to do all 20 days of the camp?
This actually happens almost every time a person starts with 3 days per week. They have so much fun, they ask to do all the days. You will simply be prorated from the point you decide to join us for all the days.

What level is the class? Will I fit in?
Every class has every level of fitness represented in it, from marathon runners to people who have never worked out before in their lives. You go at your pace in this class, with an instructor encouraging you to push yourself, while, also, reminding you to listen to your body. You'll be surprised at how well you will fit in, as long as you come with a positive attitude and a willingness to work hard...for you!

Is there a refund policy?
If you are unable to attend camp due to circumstances out of your control, we can offer you a refund if you notify us prior to your session start date however we will charge a $60.00 cancellation fee. If we are notified after your session begins, we can only give you a credit towards another boot camp. This credit is nontransferable. There is no cash refund. This is not negotiable.

What if my alarm doesn't go off or I feel sick one day?
can I do a make-up class?

We do not have "make-up" classes. If you miss a class...you, simply, miss a class. However, except for unforeseen circumstances, we do expect and want you to work out everyday. That's how you get the best and quickest results! Besides, your campmates will be there pulling for you to show up every day. You don't want to let them down do you?

What do we do if it rains?
We will still have boot camp at our normal locations and times if it is just sprinkling or lightly raining. If it is a heavy rain (we will use our best judgement) or lightning. Indoor will be available this winter season at some locations. For more information please contact us here.

What makes your program different than other fitness boot camps?
Atlanta Adventure Boot Camp is the answer!  It’s not the traditional military boot camp with a lot of yelling and trampling through the mud. It is however, a challenging, energizing, & fun outdoor workout designed for women of all fitness levels, ages and sizes. Everyone gets a great workout because no one is left behind or asked to do more than you can safely. Expect to be held accountable and enjoy every minute of it with a sense of adventure.
